一:Classification of single-punch tablet press
Single-punch tablet press can press powdery and granular raw materials into tablets. It can be widely used in pharmaceutical factories, chemical plants, hospitals, scientific research units, laboratory trial production and small-batch production. This machine has excellent performance, strong adaptability, convenient use, easy maintenance, small size, light weight, and can be hand-cranked when there is no electricity. This machine is only equipped with one pair of punches. The filling depth of the material and the thickness of the tablet can be adjusted. It can meet the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry to press various Chinese and Western medicines and the requirements of other industries to press various similar products. It is very popular among the majority of unemployed users.
二:Working principle of single-punch tablet press
The single-punch tablet press is characterized by a small desktop electric continuous tablet press machine, which can also be hand-cranked. The tablets pressed are of uniform thickness and high gloss, and no polishing is required. Since the single-punch tablet press has only one pair of punches, it is called a single-punch tablet press; the filling depth of the material and the thickness of the tablet can be adjusted.
The punch of the lower punch of the single punch tablet press enters the middle die hole from the lower end of the middle die hole, seals the bottom of the middle die hole, and uses the feeder to fill the middle die hole with medicine. The punch of the upper punch enters the middle die hole from the upper end of the middle die hole and descends a certain distance to press the powder into tablets; then the upper punch rises out of the hole, and the lower punch rises to push the tablet out of the middle die hole, completing a tableting process; the lower punch descends to its original position and is ready for filling again.
三:Loading and unloading of the punch and adjustment during tableting
1. Installation of the punch
⑴Install the lower punch: loosen the lower punch fixing screw, turn the handwheel to raise the lower punch core rod to the highest position, insert the lower punch rod into the hole of the lower punch core rod (note that the notch of the lower punch rod is aligned with the lower punch fastening screw, and it must be inserted to the bottom) and finally tighten the lower punch fixing screw.
⑵Install the upper punch: loosen the upper punch fastening nut, insert the upper punch core rod into the hole of the upper punch core rod, insert it to the bottom, clamp the hexagonal part of the upper punch core rod with a wrench, and tighten the upper punch fastening nut.
⑶Install the middle die: loosen the fixing screw of the middle die, hold the die flat and put it into the hole of the middle die platen, and at the same time make the lower punch enter the hole of the middle die, press it to the bottom and then tighten the fixing screw of the middle die. When placing the middle die, be sure to hold the middle die flat to avoid getting stuck when it is placed crookedly and damaging the hole wall.
⑷Turn the handwheel by hand to slowly lower the upper punch into the hole of the middle die, and observe whether there is any collision or friction. If there is any collision or friction, loosen the fixing screws of the middle die platen (two), adjust the fixed position of the middle die platen, make the upper punch enter the hole of the middle die, and then tighten the fixing screws of the middle die platen. Adjust in this way until there is no collision or friction when the upper punch enters the middle die, and the installation is qualified.
2. Adjustment of tablet discharge
Turn the hand wheel to raise the lower punch to the highest position, and observe whether the lower punch surface is aligned with the middle die plane (high or low will affect tablet discharge). If not, loosen the butterfly screw, loosen the gear pressure plate to turn the upper adjustment gear, so that the lower punch surface is aligned with the middle die plane, and then press the pressure plate again and tighten the butterfly screw.
At this point, turn the hand wheel by hand, run the empty machine for more than ten turns. If the machine runs normally, you can add material to test the pressure and make the next adjustment.
3. Adjustment of filling depth (i.e. adjustment of tablet weight)
Loosen the butterfly screw and loosen the gear pressure plate. Turn the lower adjustment gear to the left to raise the lower punch core rod, and the filling depth will decrease (the weight of the tablet will be reduced). After adjustment, press the gear pressure plate again and tighten the butterfly screw.
4. Adjustment of pressure (i.e. adjustment of tablet hardness)
Loosen the connecting rod locking nut, rotate the upper punch rod, turn it to the left to move the upper punch rod downward, the pressure increases, and the hardness of the pressed tablet increases; on the contrary, turn it to the right to reduce the pressure and reduce the hardness of the tablet. After adjustment, use a wrench to clamp the hexagon at the bottom of the upper punch rod, and still lock the connecting rod locking nut. At this point, the adjustment of the die is basically completed, and then start the motor to test the pressure for more than ten tablets. Check the tablet weight, hardness and surface finish. If the quality is qualified, it can be put into production. During the production process, the quality of the tablets must be checked at any time and adjusted in time.
5. Disassembly of the die
⑴ Disassembly of the upper punch: Loosen the upper punch fastening nut to pull out the upper punch rod. If the fit is tight, you can use pliers to clamp the upper punch rod and pull it out, but be careful not to damage the punch edge.
⑵ Disassembly of the middle die: Loosen the fixing screw of the middle die, unscrew the fixing screw of the lower punch, loosen the butterfly screw, and loosen the gear pressure plate. Turn the adjustment gear to raise the lower punch rod by 10 mm, gently turn the hand wheel to make the lower punch rod push out part of the middle die, and take out the middle die by hand. If the middle die fits tightly in the hole, do not turn the hand wheel hard to avoid damaging the machine parts. At this time, the middle die platen must be removed before taking out the middle die.
⑶Remove the lower punch: first unscrew the lower punch fixing screw, then turn the hand wheel to raise the lower punch rod to the highest position, and then pull out the upper punch rod by hand. If it fits tightly, it can be clamped out with pliers (be careful not to damage the punch edge).
⑷After the die is removed, the adjustment gear must be turned to make the lower punch rod retreat about 10 mm. When the hand wheel is turned to raise the lower punch rod to the highest position, its top should not be higher than the bottom surface of the middle die platen (do not ignore this step to avoid the accident of the lower punch rod colliding with the middle die when it is used again). Finally, screw on the lower punch fixing screw.
四:Disassembly and installation of main parts
1. Disassembly of the middle die platen: pull out the powder baffle, remove the hopper, unscrew the feeder fixing screws, unscrew the feeder fixing studs and springs, remove the feeder, unscrew the middle die platen fixing screws and spring washers, and then remove the middle die platen. Installation: Refer to the reverse order above. Pay attention to alignment when screwing on the feeder fixing screws. So as not to damage the thread holes of the feeder.
2. Disassembly of the upper punch rod: loosen the connecting rod locking nut, turn the upper punch rod to disengage it from the connecting rod, turn the handwheel to raise the eccentric wheel shell to the highest position, turn the eccentric connecting shell to swing the connecting rod to the front and upper part, and then the upper punch rod can be pulled out from the top of the die frame hole. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of the above.
3. Disassembly of the lower punch rod: unscrew the lower punch fixing screws, the butterfly screws and the gear pressure plate to rotate the adjustment gear to lower the lower punch rod and remove it from the bottom hole of the machine body. Installation: Refer to the reverse order above.
4. Disassembly of connecting rod: first remove the upper punch core rod, then remove the wire retaining ring on the connecting rod pin, remove the connecting rod pin, and then remove the connecting rod. Installation: proceed in the reverse order of the above.
5. Disassembly of large pulley, small gear and bridge shaft: push down the V-belt, unscrew the nut and washer on the right end of the bridge shaft (inside the machine body), hold the large pulley with the small gear and the bridge shaft by hand, and then pull the bridge shaft out of the wheel hole. (The large pulley, small gear and sleeve are pressed together, generally do not need to be disassembled). Installation: refer to the reverse order of the above.
6. Disassembly of main shaft: Two people should disassemble the main shaft. First remove the large pulley, then unscrew the nut, remove the lever, lever shaft and filling roller. (If necessary, remove the handwheel and filling cam) Remove the protective cover, unscrew the screws and washers, and use a wooden hammer to knock the non-working surface on the inside of the large gear (not heavy). Remove it (be careful not to lose the lifting roller), then use a wooden hammer and a copper rod to knock the shaft end (be careful not to damage the screw hole at the shaft end), hold the other end of the shaft and support the eccentric wheel shell, and slowly remove the main shaft. Installation: Refer to the reverse order above.
五:Maintenance
1. Lubrication of the friction surfaces of each moving part is an important part to ensure the normal operation of the machine and extend its service life. In particular, if the main moving parts run dry without oil, they will be quickly damaged and cannot be used. Therefore, before using the tablet press, all oil cups, oil holes and friction surfaces must be lubricated, and the machine must be operated empty to make the friction surfaces covered with oil film before it can be put into use. In the future, refuel on time every shift, but do not refuel too much each time to avoid overflow and affect cleaning and contamination of tablets. 2. Before each shift, check whether the screws are loose. During the work process, you should also pay attention to check frequently. If there is any looseness, tighten it immediately to avoid failure. Its main parts are: upper punch fastening nut, middle die fixing screw, lower punch fixing screw; connecting rod locking nut, connecting rod pin fixing screw; lifting fork locking nut (2 pieces) butterfly screw; middle die table fixing screw (2 pieces).
3. Before each shift and after each shift change, you must manually test a few tablets, and then start the electric tableting after there is no problem.
4. During the tableting process, the quality of the die must be checked frequently. If there are missing edges, cracks, and severe deformation, replace them in time to avoid damage to the machine and affect the quality of the tablets.
5. After use every day, the remaining powder particles should be taken out and all parts of the machine should be wiped clean. If the machine is not used for a long time, the die must be removed, and the friction surfaces of the machine. Wipe the working surface clean, apply anti-rust oil, and cover with dustproof clothing; the die should be wiped clean and immersed in oil for preservation.
6. Check the machine parts regularly, twice a month.
